Hughes Memorial Weekly Update -Tuesday, May 28

Memory Verse

"Now the whole group of those who believed were of one hear and soul, and no one claimed private ownership of any possessions, but everything they owned was held in common."
 -Acts 4:32

Thought For the Week
To fulfill the church's mission and vision we must be good stewards of
 our time, talent and treasure.

Weekly prayer for the Homeless

Job 24:7-8
All night they lie naked in the cold, without clothing or covering.  They are soaked by mountain showers, and they huddle against the rocks for want of a home.

PRAYER: O God of love, who knows all we need to survive and thrive, and gives shelter from all the storms of life, we ask for protection from the cold and rain for all your people.  Lead them to the places where people will offer care, share their dry places and their heat to keep them warm.  We ask you to guide their feet to the places where you will provide clothing to shield them, food to eat and water drink, we pray and give thanks in the name of our Savior.  Amen.

In honor of Pastor Rochelle Andrews, who serves the homeless.
