Hughes Memorial Weekly Update -Tuesday, March 5

Memory Verse
"Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and
was led by the Spirit in the wilderness, where for forty days
he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing at all during
those days, and when they were over, he was famished ."
 - Luke 4:1-2

Thought For the Week
Jesus give us the strength to resist every temptation but
even when we falter, He forgives us.  There is no condemnation
 in Christ Jesus!

Weekly prayer for the Homeless
 1 Peter 4:8
Most important of all continue to show deep love for each other,
for love covers a multitude of sins.  Cheerfully share your home
with those who need a meal or place to stay.

PRAYER: Lord, what would the world look like if I were able to love as if my life depended on it?  What would my city, my neighborhood, even my family look like if I practiced more love and less judgement.  If I were able to love so deeply, I would not see anyone's sin but only their soul, what would the world look like? If my brother hurts, then I hurt.  If my sister cries, then I cry.  If my neighbor is hungry, then I am hungry.  If a stranger is homeless, then I am homeless.  Lord, help me.  Help me to dry tears and heal wounds.  Help me to lighten hearts and inspire joy.  Help me to feed and clothe and visit and shelter those who need so much but yet ask for so little.  Help me Lord so that my heart's desire to show the love of Jesus is fulfilled.  Amen.
