Hughes Memorial Weekly Update - Monday, February 29th Changing our Community with Real P.O.W.E.R.

Memory Verse
"Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven
over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine
righteous persons who need no repentance."
 -Luke 15:7

Thought For the Week

The Real Jesus was always hanging out with
sinners.  Eating with sinners, talking with sinners,
getting to know sinners.  Why? Because Jesus
wants a relationship with sinners that is so
compelling that we will want to be a part of God's
   Kingdom.

the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and
said, "How the king of Israel honored himself today,
uncovering himself today before the eyes of his
servants' maids, as any vulgar fellow might
       shamelessly uncover himself!"
       -2 Samuel 6:20

           -Matthew 10:26

          Thought For the Week

We need to feel trust to be vulnerable and we need
             to be vulnerable to trust.

Hughes Memorial Weekly Update - Monday, February 8th Changing our Community with Real P.O.W.E.R.

              Memory Verse
"Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew
that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves
together and made loincloths for themselves."
               -Genesis 3:7

              Thought For the Week

Most of us love to control and predict which runs
counter to vulnerability.  But, vulnerability is a key
                 component to changing our communities.
