Hughes Memorial Weekly Update - Tuesday, January 27th Changing our Community with Real P.O.W.E.R.

Memory Verse
"Then Absalom commanded his servants, "Watch
when Amnon's heart is merry with wine, and when
I say to you, "Strike Amnon," then kill him.  Do not
be afraid; have I not myself commanded you? Be
 courageous and valiant."
  -II Samuel 13:28

Thought For the Week

When we fail to forgive the people in our lives who
have hurt us we cause harm.  Hurt people hurt
people.  If we let unforgiveness fester in our hearts
it damages our soul and can damage our family
   and friends for years.

Hughes Memorial Weekly Update - Tuesday, January 19th Changing our Community with Real P.O.W.E.R.

      Memory Verse
"Remember the Sabbath day, and keep it holy."
        -Exodus 20:8

      Thought For the Week

Real worship honors God's commands concerning
the Sabbath.  Observing the Sabbath is counter-    cultural.  When we set aside a day each week to
worship and then rest we honor God and
demonstrate that we trust God more than we trust
          the gods of this world.

       Community Prayer

      • Prayers for the family and friends of our members who have recently passed.

Hughes Memorial Weekly Update - Monday, January 11th Changing our Community with Real P.O.W.E.R. (Prayer, Openness, Worship, Equipping & Relationships)

          Memory Verse
"About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and

           listening to them."
            -Acts 16:25

          Thought For the Week

Real worship is so powerful that it sets us free
from our physical and spiritual bondage.  Real
worship compassionately draws people into the
              community to Christ.

           Community Prayer
