Thought For the Week 

Justice and Mercy are teammates.  You cannot do justice if you don't love mercy! And, conversely if you love mercy you will do justice!

  • Prayers for the family and friends of our members who have recently passed.
  • Prayers for all of our members who are in the hospital or homebound.

  • The Fall Senior Day Away at West River is scheduled for Thursday, October 1,  2015, 9 am to 3 pm.  Registration is $28 per person to be paid by September 25th.  Please see Peggie Outen for further information.

It is so easy to be swayed by the latest fad, style, craze, trend, whim or fancy.  Just because "everybody is doing it" does not make it right.  Because we understand God's will for our lives, we should be wise enough to avoid foolish things.

Don't let Christ's suffering, death and resurrection be in vain.  The days are dark and dangerous. Therefore, we must stay in the holy way and walk daily in the beauty of Holiness.

At the event you will have an opportunity to hear an update on the progress of the Empowering Males of Color initiative, hear from community partners that are engaged in the work, and connect with mentors who have answered the call to action.
